Accidental photo. Eye with Macro extension tubes on my lens. really high ISO and Flash was up all the way… had to edit.
Okay. I like to consider myself an open-minded, open-hearted person. I do not condemn people for their beliefs. As a matter of fact, if a person has something in their life they hold to and believe in, I am happy for them. However… to those posting the following statement:
“It was announced that there will not be Christmas trees at the White house this year. They will be called Holiday Trees. Obama says this is no longer a Christian Country, it’s a country of many faiths. We as Americans must send the message to Obama that this Country was founded on Christian beliefs and we are STILL a Christian Country. Please re-post this and let’s stand up for CHRIST!”
I would like to say:
Our founding fathers were Deists. You make yourselves look silly. America is not a “Christian Country”. It is a country where we, as stated in the bill of rights (amended to our Constitution which was written and signed by our founding fathers) have freedoms. The first of which being Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and Petition. It states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” So please, climb down. Have a Christmas tree in your home. Let the White House have a tree that does not cater to the beliefs of one part of our country (no matter how large that part may be).
